Calvin Klein Mesh Scoop

Calvin Klein Mesh Scoop-Neck Dress with Contrast Sash
A very pretty scoop-neck dress with pleated bodice and attached wraparound contrast sash at elasticized waist, above the sheer, softly pleated skirt. Solid lining. Knee length; approximate center back length: 32 inches.

Beautiful Dress!

I bought this dress at a local store for way cheaper than this but I think it may be worth the full price. I have it in light blue with a sapphire blue sash and everything from the fit to the color and fabric is exceptional. I am wearing it to my dinner rehearsal for my wedding which is in June and I am so psyched to wear it. I loved the dress when it was on the hanger but I love it even more when it’s on me!!

Juniors’ Xhilaration® Plaid Empire Waist Dress – Pink
Adorable dress gets compliments

I love everything about this dress, the pattern the ruffle, everything. The only downside is even though it comes in bigger sizes it is not built for an XXL girl. The material itself doesn’t have much give so if the seams on the breast were where they are supposed to be a strange pocket develops around my [...] and belly. The neckline is super low too. Its also quite short. I think I would use this one for over my swim suit at the pool or beach this summer.

A very cute dress…

Colors pop, and the fit is very cute on this dress…I’ve received many compliments since the first time I put it on! I would definitely recommend this very cute Spring/Summer dress!

Merona® Knit Wrap Dress

Merona® Knit Wrap Dress – Ebony
Great “Little Black Dress” for the not-so-little-lady!

I am not little or petite. I’m about a size 12/14 and 5′8″ tall. So I wanted a dress that would hide my flaws and accentuate my positives. Problem–I can’t stand going to the store and trying on clothes. HATE IT! So I turned to Amazon for my little black dress. I had to one criteria–it needed to be cheap because if I hated it I probably wasn’t going to the trouble of sending it back.

I scrolled through a dozen pages of “little black dresses” here on Amazon. There was really only one that was inexpensive and looked like it may work on my figure. That was the Merona Knit Wrap Dress. I took the plunge and ordered it.

Wow, I’m glad I did. I love it. It feels so comfy and it drapes my body without clinging to the various “lumps and bulges” *grin*. Even my husband, who cares about little black dresses about as much as I care about car engines, conceded that it looks great on me.

The great thing is that this dress is the perfect compromise of casual elegence. I can dress it up with some fussy shoes and diamonds and wear it out on the town, or I can pair it with more casual accessories and head off to church. For the price? Amazing!

Conclusion? I’m getting one in red for Christmas.

Isaac Mizrahi for Target® Strapless Sateen Dress – True White
Isaac Mizrahi revives the sexy sheath dress just in time for the holidays. Make your entrance in this timeless, strapless design with a body-conscious fit. The shoulder-baring style leaves plenty of room for dangly earrings and an eye-catching necklace and creates a long, lean line that falls just below the knee. Made from 64% polyester/31% rayon/2% spandex with a hidden back elastic strap that offers extra support. Machine wash.

Strapless Issac Mizrahi dress

Great dress– a steal for the price I paid. I ordered the dress in my regular size 8 and it doesn’t need altering at all. I’m going on a honeymoon cruise and I will wear it then. Fabric is light and soft, will need to be steamed before worn. Great purchase, quick delivery.

Not Bad For The Price

I bought this dress to wear to my reception or out on the town for my bachelorette party – haven’t decided yet. The material is very thick and is not see-through, something that a lot of white dresses are. The only problem I have with it is it bunches up a little under my ribs, but not enough to get it altered. Honestly, be careful with the length on this dress…I am 5′8 and it hit me in a weird spot, so shorter woman might find this dress a tad too long and awkward.

KNIT DRESS

BASICALLY PURCHASED THE DRESS FOR THE COLOR AND STYLE (WHICH WORKED OUT PERFECTLY). I WILL BE GOING TO LAS VEGAS WITH MY POOL TEAM TO PLAY IN A 9-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP AND THE MEN ON OUR TEAM WILL BE WEARING A POLO SHIRT AND THE OTHER FEMALE ON MY TEAM AND I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE DIFFERENT IF WE GOT MATCHING POLO DRESSES TO MATCH

a classic

Got this for my daughter. She has minor concerns about being seen as “preppy” but I told her to put it away for when she’s working fulltime. It looks absolutely darling on her. Her figure is youthful and all the curves are accentuated in the right places by this dress. I’d like to get one for her in every color. We have not washed it yet so we’ll see how that 4% spandex lasts.

Stunning satin dress

Stunning satin dress

Gonna look gooood

“She wore an itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny….” You’ve seen the commercial, right? The young woman who wants to get into this bikini she hangs on her wall as a constant reminder? Well, I want to get into this size 6 petite, “Stunning satin dress” in bronze and take a long-deserved vacation this summer. I’m going somewhere (in more ways than one).

But to get there and wear this dress, I will have to lose ungainly gained weight. I was one of those lucky ones who could eat anything and not gain weight. I weighed 100 pounds at 5′ 3″ until five years ago, then gained almost ten pounds each year until I look awful, at least that’s what the dressing room mirror tells me.

I’ve been to many places in the world: Europe, Asia, and Africa, but I have never been to New York, and that is my destination. However, I won’t go unless I can fit into this dress draped with a long hand-woven scarf in matching colors I purchased in Tunisia.

Why New York? I want to go to an art gallery, an opera, the New York Public Library, Ellis Island, eat in ethnic restaurants, go to Central Park. If Gerard Butler is in town, I will lunch with him.

But first, I must lose this weight. I have already lost ten pounds, with 20 left to go (I’m stopping at 115–100 was way too thin). I’ve been playing basketball with the kids in After School Care and my arms are firming right up. I’m getting back that bounce in my step. This middle-aged body is obeying!

Why this dress? It is bronze. I have bright red hair (both natural and complemented) and have always looked stunning in bronze. The straight look is flattering to my shape. My favorite nail polish is the same color; my lipstick half as dark. Shoes–need new ones. Where will I wear this? Could be I’ll have a date?

This weekend I will join a health club. I’m serious. I’m losing weight and I’m going to New York as a reward. Wish me well. Oh? Who will go with me? That is still to be determined…
